Forest Fact

In addition to 74% of Vermont covered in forest, there are also forests that we live in and visit every day - our urban forests. The trees around your house, your school and along your street are all part of an urban forest. These trees also provide numerous benefits to people, animals, and the environment. Not only are they beautiful to look at, but the also offer shade, decreased pollutants in our air, and habitat for animals. Our urban forests are managed and maintained by tree stewards, community leaders, ans professional arborists.
