Our Vermont Woods

Ever wondered where bats go during the day or in the winter? Vermont has nine species of bats that may be roosting under tree bark, in tree cavities, in rocky outcroppings or talus slopes, in caves and abandoned mines, inside barns and attics, and hopefully in your bat house. Join VT Woodlands Association as we host VT Fish and Wildlife Biologist Alyssa Bennett to learn a little background on Vermont's bats, with an emphasis on the five threatened and endangered species.  Find out how you can manage your woodland to enhance the habitat for bats.
