Our Vermont Woods

The first half of this webinar will be an update on the Forest Health Conditions of Vermont from the 2020 field season. This will include observations of insects and diseases from throughout the state, the current status of EAB, as well as what pests and diseases can be expected in the 2021 growing season. The second half of the webinar will present an overview of the recent gypsy moth outbreak in Massachusetts and will discuss strategies taken to combat the insect as well as what might be expected in Vermont with the increase in egg masses found in 2020.
